But let’s now fast forward to:

Vicki Goggin & Associates Casting

which began as a commercial casting haven for film/television production companies like The Bedford Falls Group, Industrial Light & Magic and RSA. Vicki’s heavy New York theatrical foundation and insatiable enthusiasm for showing directors the extraordinary talent/personalities to which they have not yet been exposed (or relentlessly subjected) are at the roots of its MO.

Comedy is a longtime specialty, one on which Vicki focused as Saatchi & Saatchi’s New York casting director and as BBDO vet James Jordan’s hand-picked casting director for his Procter & Gamble, Welch’s, Nestlé and Quaker Oats accounts.

Her approach to Real People is guerilla-like, taping not just in theoretical trenches but also literally under ships, in closets and hotel bathrooms … anywhere an unshakeable sense of humor and drive can take one. Some directors (you know who you are) have made specs bizarre for the sole purpose of tripping her up (hasn’t worked … yet). Advertisers like Best Buy, Uber, Ford, Etsy, Rakuten, Embassy Suites, Home Depot, BMW … grab her magical knack for pulling performances out of real people, sending her off to wrangle their own employees and customers.

and as we approach 2024

Vicki keeps raising the bar for new trends and new needs in commercials. Docu-style performance genres combine her skills with both actor-driven naturalism and real people. Foreign Language casting, a research-heavy treasure hunt, makes up another niche. Non-Union casting is one of her favorite specialties … twice the work of SAG-AFTRA casting, but when done with the expertise, discipline and fun that it deserves, it’s three times the rewards.
